Alex C.'s Review of Safariland 6355 Als Tactical Thigh Holster W/ Quick Release
Having purchased two of these holsters about a year apart and dealing with the manufacture the first time, I was reluctant to order a second. I was hoping the first holsters issues were a fluke, sadly they were not.
February, 2015, I purchased my first Safariland holster. Upon receiving the holster and testing the fit to the firearm I found the holster to be binding on multiple places on the firearm and light and generally a overly tight fit. Thinking Safariland was a reputable company I attempted to go through the warranty process. This was a mistake. Besides taking about a month of back and forth conversations, I was basically told that the holster I was sent according to Safariland was manufactured in 2001. Safariland at this point refused to honor their warranty from date of purchase and simply instructed me to stretch the holster by spraying the inside of the holster with lubricant and placing the firearm in a thick plastic bag and inserting it into the holster, I still have not done this.

"Your holster warranty has expired and we only service holsters with current warranty. They are 2 years on holsters. What we recommended on the phone should work. XYZ on your holster means it was made in 2001."
Directly from the safariland website, below is a small quote from there warranty information found online.
"Safariland, LCC (the “Company”) warrants its Safariland® brand holster products to be
free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from date of
purchase."
Safariland in their initial contact form asks for date of purchase which I provided. Safariland should have been aware the holster had not been purchased more than two years prior, but more like a month as the shipping lead times are about 30 days.
September 15, 2016 I ordered the second holster and as soon as I received it I test fit the firearm in the holster and it again has the same fit issues with my firearm as the first holster. This time I have returned it to Optics Planet because safariland doesn't stand behind there products.
