Do not buy this item IF you have an Sig P226 with Rail in 40 cal. Yes, it will work but will need some small modifications with a dremel tool. After some fitting and shaving some plastic off it worked. The fit was a little too tight due to the fact it’s meant to fit a 9mm pistol and not a 40 cal. But it’s still doable. You have been warned! But if you have the Sig P226 without a rail you should be fine tho, hoped this help?
Cons:
- Was meant for a Sig with a rail system
Best Used for:
- Range and Zombie Apocalypse

Amazing how this works. Snug fit, tight to the body. ALS retention is excellent. Would recommend Safariland holsters due to options and retention characteristics. Find the right fit for your tool and buy one.
Pros:
- Retention, fit to body, construction

I am very pleased with this holster. My Springfield 1911 Operator (w/rails) fits in it perfectly and securely. The paddle feels sturdy and strong. This is a great holster and you can’t beat the price!

Safariland quality and function is always duty grade. This holster is a parfect blend of form function and price. First thing that works for me is the ride height and how nice and tight to the body it sits. Itvis a full feature holster with the simple and proven ALS security and the nice attention to detail of yhe felt lining. It doesnt just protect the pistols finish it keeps things tight and rattle noise is drastically reduced. This is now my go to after 7 years of plain clothes on duty use. Im trying to supply one for all of my other off duty carry options when I want to carry owb. Optics planet price and service is always the first place to buy.

I purchased this holster because I couldn't find any other holsters under $110.00 that offered very good security, ie, it couldn't be removed by an attacker or just fall out if in a ground fight etc. Other thumb snap holsters I tried said they would fit but didn't, some even listed the J Frame 640 (which has no exposed hammer) as being one that it would fit but didn't because of the lack of a hammer. Another has the securement strap coming across the trigger guard which didn't fit because of Hogue rubber grips I had installed, no, I'm not going to swap them out. I have two other ALS holsters for my Glock pistols and love them. I had them while in L.E. and liked the securement and speed with which you could draw and easy of reholstering. I wouldn't consider this a real "concealment" holster, but it isn't an IWB holster so you get what you get. It does have a nice cant to the weapon, it does hold tight to the belt and your body so you can wear a light coat or untucked shirt and get adequate coverage with little if any weapon printing.
The ONLY reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because of this: When I first got the holster I couldn't get the revolver into the holster without REALLY forcing it in and then having to really pull HARD to remove it. There was no way I could even consider using it in it's current condition. So,,, I put my revolver (which was obviously not loaded) into the holster I then took my heat gun (glorified, supercharged hair dryer) and gradually war...

Pros:
- Very Secure locking system
- Very nice adjustible Paddle
- Includes slotted belt attachment
- Will fit both exposed and concealed hammer revolvers
- Very reasonabley priced.
Cons:
- Unlike other ALS holsters, I had to used a heat gun to reform the holster to make it easier to insert and remove the revolver.
- In the event you do need to reform the holster it can be accomplished with a heat gun or hair dryer. But you shouldn't have to do it.
Best Used for:
- Open carry, and while at the range.
- Concealed carry while wearing an outter garment or shirt since it is OWB holster.

The newer version of this holster 7378 7T5 is much smoother operating. Gun slides in and out smoother and it is slightly lighter. That one is a five star. Gun locks in place yet with a natural swipe of the thumb releases freely. I use it without the paddle for purse carry and don’t have to worry about pulling the holster out with the gun. Once the thumb release is activated the holster slides off easily.

Well worth the wait. This is a very well made holster, also extremely comfortable. Thanks. I had to wait for this product for a while as it was on back order, but like I said it was well worth it. I will probably buy another again very soon to keep as a back up.

Great poly holster. Retention is good and easy to remove pistol.I like Safariland's hooded keeper and the way it secures and opens, but this thumb release system works well. The Safariland suede is a nice touch. Comes with belt or paddle attachments. I have several for different makes and models. All work well.
Best Used for:
- Run & Gun matches
- duty (not me)
