What needs to be said? This is a time tested design that I can trust in the field. Safariland does it right.

This is exactly what i was looking for! Great quality! Easy to use, though I did take the cobra hood off and only use the push button thumb drive for retention. Unless you plan on wrestling felons, i.e. Law Enfor. you will have no need for the Hood.

I ordered the MOLLE fork version so that I could assemble a tan mid-ride holster, which isn't offered. The price worked out to almost the same amount and it was a quick change once I received it. The holster feels great and I couldn't be happier.

I've been shooting competitively since 1986 and have owned and used dozens of different holsters over the years.

When it came time to replace my old 3-gun holster, I purchased the Safariland 6004 based on all the positive feedback from fellow shooters.

The fit, retention, and ease of draw are all top-notch.

After having used the Safariland 6004 for three matches, I am very happy I chose this holster.

Overall I find this holster to be very useful in overt tactical operations. It is easy to draw your pistol and provides enough comfort and flexibility for extended operations. The leg straps have a tendency to loosen up and need modification.
Pros: Easy to draw pistol from.
Cons: Leg straps need improvement.

Very happy with the holster, now I just need to get them for my other pistols.

I have been purchasing Safariland holsters for the department for many years and the officers seem to have no complaints about them.

This is the top of the line holster plateform that is used by law enforcement across the country. The 6004 is easy to use, has excellent weapon retention, and has a fast smooth draw.

The STX finish is very durable and rugged. I bought the FDE color to match my Multicam Paraclete RBAV. The holster color and the darker accents on the holster match Multicam perfectly. However, the strange color of the vertical belt attachment nylon isn't the same shade as the other leg straps.

The only downside is you cannot use the holster for the Glock 17/22 without having the light attached. If you take off the light, the gun will flop around in the holster and will not have any retention. So make sure you really will carry your light with you all the time before buying this holster rig.
