I’ve been looking for a few weeks for the Safariland 6355 & everywhere was sold out & backordered. Usually by a few months -to- four months or more. I found it here on Optics Planet & had the holster in under a week. The 6355 is a great fit & Safariland is tops in quality. Very happy with the service at Optics Planet.

Only wanted the holster
I am building a custom war belt and just needed the holster. I will not use the thigh rig so cannot review that part. The holster is great once you remove some of erroneous parts and get the fit dialed in.

I wanted a retention holster that could be transferred between thigh and chest and this unit does that (with the correct adapter). The thumb-driven release is natural and effective. Construction is solid and I look forward to years of use.
The cover over the thumb break hinders quick access to the gun. It seems to encourage moving the hand from the rear into the draw position. If your hand is forward or up in a fighting position, the cover gets in the way of a quick draw. This is a removable piece, though, so it's a quick fix if you agree it's more of a hindrance than help.

Would have given all fives if the weapon would fit tighter without the light.
