Tikkas have some of the smoothest actions out there. However bolt lift can be a little much for one or two finger operation due to the short oem bolt throw. This unit slips on the end of the bolt knob and is held on place by a tension screw. It takes all of a minute to install and you can decrease bolt cycling time significantly. I have installed aftermarket bolt assemblies before and did not like the way they stick straight out. This one is identical to what you receive on the compact tactical rifle. I have them on all of my Tikkas now.
