There is a small glitch with this hand guard. There are two antirotation tabs towards the receiver end that had to be cut and filed off before the hand guard would fit down to the receiver. It is all just part of the DPMS/308 fitment variation issues that continue to exist. Once removed I dabbed them with flat black touch up paint. This is not visible because it is next to the receiver. Other than the tabs the product was everything I expected; thin, light, and attractive.
