OK, so I have used this mag during the coast deer season. It's OK, but not as good as the one that came on the rifle. Compared to the magazines that come on the Savage Stealth they are junk. I don't understand why Savage didn't put the ACIS mags on this rifle. Couldn't have cost that much more and they would have been miles ahead. Anyway, back to the axis nag, you must be very careful inserting this mag into the rifle to be sure that the catch us worked or it will hit you in the foot at the first shot. Hard to load compared to the ACIS magazines. recomended this mag because you are going to have to have a spare.
