Exactly what we needed
The mounts fit well on a Savage Rascal. The only problem we ran into was that a full size red dot scope made it a little more difficult to load each round. So we put a smaller red dot that only mounts to one of the scope mounts and doesn't cover the ejection port of the rifle. Much easier to load now. I'm glad it is a two piece mount instead of a one piece mount, that gave us the ability to keep the ejection port uncovered and still have a red dot scope.
Perfect Fit
There are not a large number of options for mounting a scope on the Rascal. This base set works perfectly. The finish is good and all supplied hardware was free of burrs or defects of any kind. The base to receiver fit was perfect. All in all this is good solid mount.

Works perfect
These bases fit my daughter's Savage Rascal perfect. I mounted an NC star 4x30 compact scope using low rings. Worked well but had to raise the rifles comb about an inch to get propper eye alignment with the scope.

Mount screws right in to pre taped holes. I was surprised it was this easy on a youth model firearm. seems solid and aperars like it will last forever. makes me happy the manfactuer produces parts for their own firearms. very happy with my purchace.

Savage Rascal scope mounts
i picked these up for my nephew. He was fine using the iron sights, but then he got ahold of a scoped rifle and didn't want to give it back. Installation was a snap, you just have to choose the proper height scope rings to fit the shooter. Highly recommend these if you want to put a scope on your Savage Rascal.

Only mounts that work on a Savage Rascal
These are the only mounts that properly work on a Savage Rascal rim fire rifle. They seemed awfully thick, however that is get the scope high enough to feed ammo into the rifle. I found that you need a medium height scope ring for proper clearance and your eye (or a youngsters) still lines up correctly. These bases are well made (by Savage) and the rings attach with no problem.

savage scope bases
Works only with larger scope rings, not the rimfire type small rings. which is odd since the rifle is a .22 rascal

Picatinny/ Weaver scope base
I wasn't sure if this made a dovetail or Picatiny/ Weaver, but Its a weaver style base, used some generic rings and a generic scope, works great.

rascal scope mount
I couldn't believe these were actually from Savage Arms. Perfect fit and 1/2 the price from Savage. How does OP do it? Thanks for a great product and good price!!
