Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for The Urban Hotel Stay!
As recently as 2yrs ago I wondered why someone would want a firearm case shaped like a guitar and with this Savior case you can take your firearms into your hotel room without any wandering eyes and in our current world this is a lifesaver! The case it built extremely well with great foam padding a...

Most Helpful Negative Review Nice For To-From the range
The case is fairly secure and is great to get to and from the range. However, it needs a foam insert instead of the Velcro straps it comes with. I bought 3” Case Club foam off Amazon for an additional $75 and custom cut it to the case. It’s a bit of a hassle to get the foam to fit just right in the ...

pretty good case

by redTexn, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 10, 2026
I wasn't sure if this case would fit my needs but I took a leap of faith and it the case was exactly the size I needed! I bought it to transport an expensive lever rifle on a flight from Dallas to Seattle and a drive through Canada. I was worried about prying eyes in communist ridden areas would intentionally damage or steal my rifle. TSA didn't even recognize it as a rifle case and I had to tell them several times it was a rifle inside. Then at the luggage pick up the handlers were super careful and respectful hand carrying it to the pickup location. Had several city dwelling Canadians ask if it was a mandolin or violin and wanted to see it. I abliged and the sock and horror on those faces when I opened the rifle case was worth every cent spent prepping the case with foam to fit my takedown 1886 in 45-70gov. As an added bonus because of how I had it laid out there was room for 2 boxes of ammo in the neck of the case. My only complaint is the texture finish does not like to hold stickers. Something on the plastic makes stickers fall off after a few hours. Did I mention I stocked up the case like a nice compliant liberals guitar case? Well I did LOL.

Got this case for my ps90 sbr

by Rich, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 22, 2026
it's a snug fit, but it does all fit, just wish it had better mounting options, only comes with 2 straps, I'll likely just get some custom foam inserts, or print something in tpu air. case its self is great though!

Plastic latch pivot pin, why?

by Matt, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 1, 2026
Upon opening it for the first time the PLASTIC pivot pin on the bottom latch immediately broke. Literally, a 2¢ steal pivot pin could have prevented this. I am not comfortable flying with this case. I can’t recommend Savior Equipment for anyone traveling with firearms, look elsewhere.
Pros:
  • Look
Cons:
  • Poor manufacture quality

IYKYK - Amazing with pink hello kitty stickers on it.

by dashmatrix, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 20, 2025
Anyone who asks "Why would you need a case like this ?" is either a 2A hater or has no idea what the "single purpose container doctrine" is. Google it. It's a good way to carry SBR/SMGs without attracting unwanted attention.
Pros:
  • Build quality
  • price is not too bad
Cons:
  • Only comes in black
  • be careful with the stickers it comes with.
  • a bit too 'unique'. It would be nice if it was more generic looking. Even among violin cases it looks odd. It looks more like a child's guitar case.
Best Used for:
  • Gray man

Addition to earlier review

by John L, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on October 15, 2025
Accidently hit 'enter' prematurely and can't find a way to edit, so updating my earlier review. The 'foam' and cutouts mentioned were on Gunformz custom foam for this Savior case. The case would IMO be slightly better if slightly thinner.

(The gun is a 9mm CMMG Banshee; the "0mm" was a typo.)

Perfect size for a 5" CMMG Banshee 9mm

by John L, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on October 15, 2025
I'm using this for my 5" CMMG 0mm Banshee, and the size is about perfect. If it was any smaller, it wouldn't fit with the gun's micro prism in its lower 1/3 height mount. I made cutouts for five magazines - three 24-round glock magazines and two 20-rounders (15-rounders with +5 baseplates. That's about all that it will hold in addition to the Banshee.

I would prefer it to be a little less thick; reducing the thickness by an inch or so (one less layer of foam) would be ideal for my purposes. But overall very happy with it.
Pros:
  • toughness
Cons:
  • Thickness
Best Used for:
  • Smallish guns

Excellent quality

by TRASH, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on September 16, 2025
Perfect size for any instruments under 30”. Just wow, 556 strings almost need a fold at the buffer to fit perfectly. Great for carbines
Pros:
  • Size, quality, appearance
Cons:
  • 2 inch too short if you ask me
Best Used for:
  • Travel

If the latch locks weren’t plastic I would give it a 5

by El Barbon, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on August 22, 2025
Seems like a decent buy for the moment for several reasons but I will say that the latch locks don’t impress me at all. I like the amount of space and the construction seems solid but the RnD engineers need to beef these latches up with some anodized aluminum or something that doesn’t have the obscene look of disappointment. So what if it costs another 30 or 40 to make it happen. I like buy things that I know will last and needles to say, but I have my doubts.
Pros:
  • Solid case, folding pc carbine friendly, sbr friendly.
  • Plentiful spacing for neoprene cut outs.
  • Discreet look to it.
Cons:
  • Plastic locking latches? Really?
Best Used for:
  • Pistols, SBRs, and folding carbines.
  • Secure Travel, transport, inconspicuous easy access storage, long term storage
