I live in an urban environment with most of my neighbors on the entire city block being extremely anti gun. This works great when going to the gun range versus using a standard rifle case that everyone knows what's inside. I might even put some rock band stickers on it to make it look really convincing.

This is a cool idea but poorly executed. The plastic and hinges are very flimsy. I would recommended having more lock holes and more sturdy hinges. Had to return it immediately. Not up to par and looks like it will break easily.

This is both secure as a rifle case and effective for being discreet about having a rifle when traveling. I was wondering whether the "neck" of the guitar portion would be wide enough for the action on semi-auto hunting type guns, but it fits fine for my Benelli R1 and Browning BAR. The shell of the case is sturdy and protective, another thing I was worried about. It comes with three separate foam insert layers in the lower portion, each thick enough to hold a rifle - convenient to cut out different shapes for more than one rifle to fit tightly. That said, trying to find something for an improvement, it didn't need to be quite so deep. Less deep would have made it lighter and not quite so big. That is nit picking to optimize. I couldn't be happier with the purchase; it serves exactly the purpose I wanted and is solid quality and sturdy enough for travel and the wheels mean that its weight isn't a problem.

Obtained case in very reasonable time, as usual, from Optics Planet. I wanted a case that did not advertise itself 'as a rifle case,' and this one fit the bill beautifully! The first day I showed up at the range with it, the gent at the next spot over asked me 'if I took requests!':-) While I already owned a perfectly serviceable soft-sided case, due to newly passed blue state 'hissey-fit -vs -SCOTUS' anti-gun laws, I was advised a 2-lockable hard shell case was advised to travel to range with. This case is perfect and I highly recommend it!

My only caution is that you will want to learn how to cut and paste together portions of the three guitar-shaped foam inserts that come with the case. For those as unfamiliar with such a process as I was, briefly, lay your rifle in the desired place in the case with two foam inserts below it and outline the rifle on the top piece with a marker. The idea is to have a 'cut-out' in the shape of your rifle such that top foam will surround and secure your rifle, as it rests on the lower foam. After realizing that my old box-cutter was not long enough, I learned that a much longer 18mm 'snap-off blade knife' worked well to cut through the foam rifle outline to the depth of the bottom piece of foam supplied. Savior customer support was helpful with a video that got me started, but could not recommend how to glue the desired sections of foam together. An old friend who is an expert upholsterer recommended '3M spray adhesive' to fuse together ...

As usual, the service from optics plan was fast case is durable and has multiple locking points when open the lid stays at a nice angle doesn’t flop all over the side or want to come off. Would’ve been nice if it was pick and pull foam for an easier custom fit. This case does not repeat not scream gun when you’re loading it in your car or traveling With it.

Mine is a much darker brown than shown, I like it! I haven’t cut the foam to shape yet, but the case is roomy and deep. It’s a neat idea, nobody should pay much attention to you carrying a “guitar” case. It seems reasonably strong and has several latches..

Very nicely made, durable, and cheap. Fits my rifle inconspicuously.

I put my Tokarev 12 gauge bullpup in this case. The foam was easy to cut to fit the gun, had plenty of room for 2 magazines and a strap in the case as well. Great case for the money.
