Built like a tank and compact - just be aware of the proprietary buffer system.
The SB Tactical HBPDW is a compact, rugged PDW-style brace that’s ideal for ultra-short AR pistol builds in 5.56 or .300 Blackout — but it comes with some quirks you need to know up front.
First, the buffer tube is proprietary, which means you can’t just drop in any standard carbine buffer setup. After installing a forced reset trigger (FRT), I had to swap to a Maxim H3 buffer and spring, which solved function issues and tamed recoil. If you plan on running exotic triggers or need tuned cycling, factor this into your build.

the absolute coolest brace
This brace is the best made & coolest looking brace I own .Easy to install three position locks up tight no wobble nice and compact.

Quality is amazing. Fitment was right on and the install was very simple. The brace has a little wiggle when extended but nothing more than expected. It is very compact and looks amazing on my build.

The hbpdw works perfect for my build. Easy install, took less than 5 minutes to have it up and running.

great pistol brace
Definitely loving it, I would suggest though if you intend to make this with a bag gun use a 7" barrel , I have an 8" with a 2" muzzle up front and it doesn't fit common ccs carry bags. But the brace pulls out about the same as my stock on my AR. It's very light and no movement like most adjustable stocks

Solid with Little Play
I thought it would be looser but to my surprise, it’s positively tight. Looks great on my budget badger .300
