Rider T's Review of SB Tactical HKPDW HK Brace for HK MP5/HK53/MP5K
SB tactical is a great company and they do listen to their customers. The HKPDW brace used to have large protruding allen screws that conflict with SP5 sear block, now the screw heads are low profile and do not need to be ground down or removed to fit. A small cut in the H buffer and it pops right on.
However it is a one-size-fits-none situation. It's a poor fit on HK SP5 receiver and the take down pin is quite literally the only thing that's holding it together. And all that aluminum butt plate does is scratching the finish on a few contact points.
We all love the look and the concept of telescoping brace on our MP5 variants but just save your money and buy a side folding stock/brace. You'll get more out of it and that's what I am doing.

- Cheaper than a real HK stock
- No need to file a FORM 1
- Enhances practicality of the pistol
Cons:
- poor fit
- It's not a stock
- Adds nearly 2lbs to the weapon
