HKPDW....fits perfectly on PTR MP5 clone
Just received my SB Tactical HKPDW brace today.I was easy to install and worked perfectly on my PTR 9CT. The brackets fit perfectly on the gun and did not sctatch my gun in any way. Locks up at each notch on the rail and looks great on the gun. SB Tactical hit a homerun with this baby. Great product...

Does not fit well on real HK SP5...
SB tactical is a great company and they do listen to their customers. The HKPDW brace used to have large protruding allen screws that conflict with SP5 sear block, now the screw heads are low profile and do not need to be ground down or removed to fit. A small cut in the H buffer and it pops right o...

MP5 Pistol Brace
Shopped around and found this brace the cheapest on Optics Planet. I wasn't expecting it to be as beefy as it is, so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. When installing, it was a little tight to the receiver and retracted hard. But with a little oil and working it a bit it is nice now. Definitely the best looking MP5 brace!
Pros:
- Price
- compact
- Looks
Cons:
- weight
Best Used for:
- anything

Excellent brace
Fits great on Mac5. Works as intended. Very sturdy. Looks like what an mp5 should look like.

Great brace!
It's a tight fit for my H&K SP5 but works. I had to use a small hammer to drive it in and excercise it back and forth to loosen it a bit.

Looks Great. Fits Great
The materials of construction are strong, so it's heavier than the competition, but worth it!

Looks like the real deal.
Fit was perfect; no need to use the two Allen screws that are included. Heavy compared to flimsy versions. Locks solidly.
Pros:
- looks and functions flawlessly
Cons:
- None

Great fit and enhances performance.
I installed this brace on a new HK SP5. It's a very tight fit and it took lubricating all surfaces that the take down pin comes in contact with and the use of a wooden mallet. I expect this will loosen up a little in time as cleaning are done on the gun.
It's an expensive brace but is extremely well build and the 3-position characteristic was important to me.

Good answer at a reasonable cost.
Good fit on an AP5. A little tight to operate initially but I anticipate it will function easier with usage. One of a few I've utilized now, very well made.

Nice solid brace for compact storage
Nice brace. It feels very solid and not at all flimsy. The rails feel like substantial steel. The brace end cap has a nice solid feel to it.
I like the compactness of the design for storage.
The brace feels a bit short for me at full extension, but still very usable
The end cap fits quite snugly on my MAC 5. The first time I had to tap it on with a rubber hammer. I oiled it a bit after that. Also beware of the Allen screws on the bottom side. I couldn't get the place on until I saw those were in place. They don't seem needed on my gun.
I first tried using a normal AR15 folding stock with a picatinny rail end plate but found that end plate is too wide to allow a normal folding stock to close all the way.
It is a bit pricey, but this is really the brace my MAC 5 needs.

Overall very nice
The only thing I wish they did different was the deployment mechanism. I have the CZ scorpion model as well and I feel that push button style should have carried over to this platform vs the lever they used. That said, this is still an effective brace a tad heavier but its also mostly steel which on a brace like this, is really not necessary. Overall happy with it as is and I can train past the weight and deployment type.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Heavy. Odd engagement switch
