Svetlana's Review of SB Tactical SBT5KA Folding Stabilizer Brace for HK MP5K/SP89 Clones, and SP5K
Compared to the default A4 side folding stock from HK, this one is lighter in weight but requires a button to be pressed when folding. This button is difficult to press and doesn’t fit the human thumb ergonomically.
The hard edges can catch on to clothes or objects when moving around folded or deployed in tight situations.
As a brace it holds well comfortably, along with its light weight, are the two major upsides to this.
Installation; it's a bit oversized so you may have to do some fitting such as sanding areas where it fits into the receiver.
The biggest problem is the amount of force needed to deploy it, and lock it past the large when swinging it out.
It is also loud! about half or louder than a suppressed 9mm round going off when swinging it open and going past the latch.
The look does not match the MP5K's rounded edge design and feels like its more suited for an Armalite.
