Most Helpful Positive Review The perfect ACOG mount
The Scalarworks Leap/14 is the perfect ACOG mount. It is super lightweight, the listed weight is wrong, my scale has it at 1.8oz. It’s very well machined and robust. That said, the best part about it is the design. The mount pushes it back what would equate to 2-3 pic slots further back than the factory mount, and I am still able to have a Magpul MBUIS Pro under it. No more nose to charging handle, or at least not as much. If you go with the 1.93 mount you can get the Kick mount and offset a red dot. I used to have the LaRue ACOG mount, which was good but this is better, imo. I don’t think you...

Looks great, but doesn't hold zero

by MT, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 14, 2026
Despite being tightened down as much as I can get (with gloved hands), this will not hold zero. I have a laser. At a fixed distance (e.g., a target at 50 yd at my local range), I can apply lateral pressure to the ACOG and get my crosshairs to move laterally relative to my laser. Not great. This doesn't happen with the stock mount. I have several Scalarworks Aimpoint mounts and a scope mount, and they've all been great. Like those, this mount *looks* fantastic. But I need one that works beyond CQB distances.
Pros:
  • beautiful
Cons:
  • DOESN'T HOLD ZERO
Best Used for:
  • CQB
Would recommend: No

the perfect ACOG mount

by Sal Cappuccino, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on October 1, 2024
Very well made and machined. Incredibly lightweight at 1.8 ounces. Sits further back than my LaRue mount and the factory mount, making shooting with it less ‘nose to charging handle’. It gives it more of a natural shooting position since the short eye relief is addressed. Lastly, you can keep your rear BUIS. I have the MBUIS pros on mine. The 1.93” version is capable of offsetting a red dot too, which is nice

I don’t think you can go wrong with this mounts mount.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • well made
  • eye relief
  • well machined
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • acog
  • acog with buis
  • better shooting position
