Larry's Review of Scalarworks PEAK Fixed Iron Sight Set
This are nice sights, very light, and really the only problem I have, and it may just be my set, is that the rear sight aperture "large" hole is off center. It's offset to the right about 1/32, and down a hair. The "small" hole looks pretty well centered. So much for "precision CNC milled apertures."
I have a feeling that the aperture will always stay on the "small" hole on my set.
Also on the rear aperture, they advertise that they use one with a flat side towards the shooter, and it is, but it basically just looks like they took a standard aperture and flipped it over so the concave side is facing forward.
I think given the price for a set of fixed sights, and the importance of the apertures being centered, that these are not quite worth the money. But again, that could just be my set. Also I don't see where I can get tritium apertures or front posts, so that's a limitation too.
I really wanted to like these sights a lot, especially given the cost, but overall it leaves me feeling about like getting a new Corvette, but someone had replaced the engine with an 80's 305 out of a truck...
