I purchased my Stratos about a month ago. I wanted to put it to work for several weeks before my review, and I could not be more impressed. I am coming out of running a Swaro-Nova 3-12X56 (NEVER thought I would buy anything else!) for about 10 years. I was ready to upgrade the glass on my main rifle which I use for comp. and hunting. I I wanted both, an increase in magnification for competition, and an illuminated reticle package for hunting. I field tested the Vortex, Zeiss, Khales, Trijicon, NightForce, and S&B. All, FFP, 56mm, Illum. Ret., high quality, fine glass. After close to a year of using these different products and testing them in real-world digs, for me- and my right eyeball, hands down, the S&B was at the head of the class. Get your hands on one and look through the one-its the crisp resolution of that FFP reticle coupled with the aspect ratio to target up through the magnification table that will blow your mind. Then as your natural light fades a little, the red dot increases automatically. Set your rifle down, the cant sensors automatically sense it and shut off the illumination to save battery. Snatch it back up immediately, and its back on before you can shoulder your rifle and achieve a sight picture. Its just an awesomely, impressive piece of equipment. Good luck and shoot straight!!!
