Great scope, but pricey - Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II 5-25x56mm LP Rifle Scope

The glass is unparalleled. I've put this side-by-side with many other brands and Schmidt is always at or tied for top spot clarity-wise. The turrets are crisp and accurate. Re-zeroing the turrets is easy, although I'd rather the elevation knob bottom out zero instead of minus zero point six MIL. I suppose the thought is you zero at two hundred and 'bottom out' at one hundred for most cartridges, but if you're dialing anyway why not just go to zero? I love the MSR reticle; uncluttered but with one tenth MIL increments on the L for those times when you're steady enough and have lots of time for ranging. The illuminated crosshair has plenty of brightness adjustment for real low-light situations (you can barely see it in daylight even at the highest setting). I got this on sale at a pretty good discount from OP. If price is no object this optic is hard to beat. In lieu of a good sale, it's a more difficult decision because IOR has equivalent glass for substantially less cost.
