Excellent CQ knife- serious folks only

by Stay Chiseled, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on February 10, 2023
This is the best push blade I have ever had. I have over 15 defensive knives from stiletto knives, fixed blades, etc. I've carried push knives since 2001 and this one by far almost got the design perfect. Having lived in Baltimore, MD, Memphis, TN and New York, NY, I've run into enough mess to know that blades are one's best defense-compared to firearms in a surprise-close quarters situation. This blade is SOOOO fast to deploy and thats what you need- a sharp blade with an ergonomic handle for a solid purchase and the element of surprise. This isn't a "show blade" and you won't win any court cases once the state reveals this item. It looks menacing and by the way it's designed, velocity of the punch is what makes this thing so harmful. Its around 4 inches long and I don't care how big, tough or rough the other guy thinks he is, this blade will back up the best of them. Tucked IWB, appendix is the best position for me. Rarely does one have the time to reach for the pistol in an urban environment, so this blade is an appropriate option. No shells, no fingerprints, no serial numbers, no noise. Just hit and dip. Stay safe and stay chiseled!
Pros:
  • Low profile
  • quick deployment
  • Non Reflective Blade Coating
  • Ergonomic handle
  • grip is excellent
  • IWB kydex sheath
Cons:
  • Fat handle
  • extremely sharp
Best Used for:
  • Concealment
  • gas station altercations
  • tight environments

Almost perfect. Here’s why…

by Stay Chiseled, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on October 21, 2022
Whats perfect:
The blade length and overall dimensions.
The handles and ergonomics
Grip is sticky and stay put in your hand
Sheath retention is confident and clasps the topside of the blade in place.
The price
Blade is a low key, matte gray, no polished shine or glitterati to draw attention.

What needs work:
The sheath. I have big hands and so I needed to sand the plastic down to achieve a solid purchase on the knife. Even then, i cant fully wrap my hands around it before I present the knife. So I find myself with a semi-purchase in the handle.
This problem actually helps with concealment, but I also have a few other push daggers and many Gabe the same issue. Cold steel knives don’t have this problem as the stem of the knife is much longer, but they make economical sheaths that leave much to be desired.
To solve this, perhaps the next version will offer another half inch to the stem? Practice with presentation will have to do for now. Stay chiseled!

I place daggers in the same location (appendix) as it gives me options for different situations. Right or left handed issue is not a problem. I’ve found myself in more knife situations than firearms, and honestly speaking- a knife is a much better option in an urban gas station, store, jogging, park, etc.
Best Used for:
  • self defence
  • Close quarter combat
  • quick access

Quality knife @ bargain price

by woodscraps, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on March 31, 2022
Been part of my EDC since purchased.

You can purchase better quality, but not without spending 3x the $.

Handle texture and shape provide excellent grip on this self-defense weapon.

The full-tang blade was plenty sharp when received. Just a couple minutes honing the edges and I could've shaved our cat without waking him up.

Used it to cut haybale strings daily for a week and it's edge held up better than expected.

A secure sheath is necessary for this type of weapon and Schrade did very well. It holds firm to your pants' waist, with or without a belt when not in use, and stays put when the dagger is drawn.

The blade definitely clicks into place in sheath. However, I'd not recommend hanging it from one's neck before testing how well it stays with bouncing around
