I was looking for a dust cover for my EOTECH 553 for long-term storage while mounted on my rifle. Having had previous experience with ScopeCoat I knew that this was just what I wanted. It fits snugly and does a good job of keeping dust off the optical surfaces and also provides some degree of protection against minor impacts. The challenge was finding a ScopeCoat for the Model 553. I searched many online sites and was unable to find one that specifically stated that it was designed for the Model 553. Cover is as advertised. Good dust cover, stretches over sight and does the job. It was on backorder however. And after waiting one month (I had forgotten that I ordered it with other items that I had since received), I sent an email inquiring on its status. Apparently, OpticsPlanet forgot about it as well, as they then immediately sent the cover after my inquiry. At least one of us remembered.

Great cover for your eotech

I have the GG&G cover for my Eotech 553 but I noticed a few minor wear marks to the GG&G. I bought this to be used as an additional cover to help prevent dust and primarily wear to the Eotech. I shoot out doors where there is a tone of dust and dirt and this product has done a great job in helping to keep my Eotech clean and protected. Even with the GG&G the scopecoat still fits perfect.
