A Mount You Can Trust
Wasn't really happy about the price that some others were charging for what I thought would be a bunch of cheap plastic parts, but jeez... I didn't realize how big this thing was actually going to be, AND, It has some bulk! This thing is rock solid, and you can definitely feel comfortable mounting up your expensive electronics; they will not fall over with this mount. The secure feeling that you get with this thing is worth every penny those other guys were charging, so that makes the sales price that I got if from Optics Planet for, even more of a great buy. You can't go wrong with this mount!

Can it be too big?
I purchased this ball mount for my Garmin 9 inch sonar. It’s better than what I expected, you don’t have to turn the Handle very much to make it tight. That thing ain’t going nowhere. They fixed it from previous models. Now you can turn the knob and remove the ball mount and the bolt and handle stays attached. I did cut off the sides of the mount so it would match the fish finder. It was about 3/4 inch wider than the fish finder on both sides. I would buy another Scotty in the future.
