Great bolt gun lubrication

by Cerni, from CA, United States Written on February 29, 2020
I will not say this is the best gun lube out there but I have used several lubricants for my precision rifles and Seal One has been the best I’ve used. It’s not messy like other oil based lubricants, it goes on easy and does not attract dirt or air particles like other lubes. I have used Seal One in Iraq and as a LEO in a large CA LE agency on my precision rifles and would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone. 2 thumbs up in my humble opinion.

Seal 1 CLP

by Rich, from FL, United States Written on August 21, 2015
I cannot attest to the viability of the product post cleaning yet since I have used it only once, but I used liquid (more like an orange goo) to clean my SW M&P Shield and my wife, by my side, cleaned her Ruger LC380. My weapon had about 300 rounds through it since it's last cleaning, resulting in my first FTE with the Shield in over 700 rounds due to the glut of carbon built up around the battery.

The product is actually pleasant smelling. It is very oily to feel, which gave me pause that I would really have a mess and I'd have to work to clean all this goo off. The bottle has an internal cap, a nice little feature, that stops up the bottle, likely keeping it from running out all over your range bag should you desire to take it along.

The "C" part: Cleaning. I used it liberally, as it recommends, loading up the brush and applying it to all the surfaces inside the slide, the lower receiver and with a bore brush, gave the barrel a heaping dose. Using a cotton swab I also hit the 'problem areas' with a dose: Striker seat, muzzle and action. I let the product sit for about 10 minutes on all surfaces.

I started swabbing the slide and the carbon was just melting away. It truly does just eat away at the carbon. Used a rag to wipe down all the easily accessed surfaces and a few cotton pads to get in and tidy up the close areas. This stuff is great.

I grabbed my barrel, ran the brush through again and on the other end a giant blob of black goo emerged. Promising I tho...
