Most Helpful Positive Review Great looking handguard
First a little heads up. I ordered this handguard mistaking it for the similar one that is specially for the Ruger Precision Rifle that is listed on Seekins website. This handguard is for the AR-15 and not the RPR. This handguard can be used on the RPR, but Seekins makes a model with a few differences in the mounting holes, end relief on bottom side, and mounting nut to close the gap adjacent to the receiver. I have not been able to mount the handguard because it did not come with the 'titanium nut' that is used to jam the triangular mounting nut in place (I think). It took me a bit of resear...

Quality products and best price I found and in stock. Would recommend looking in to seekins precision for any ar 15 products for upgrade or any new build. Price point is a little higher on some items from seekins but you get what you pay these days.

Great Handguard

This by far is my favorite hand guard, the bottom is smooth and can position my hand anywhere on it. I currently have 3 rifles built using either the 12 or 15 inch hand guard. The installation is pretty easy, I personally use a 1 1/8 wrench and a barrel tool to hold the barrel that goes onto my torque wrench.

Functions well.

Liked everything about it except that it left a very small gap between the new rail and the barrel nut. All attachments fit well. I really like the flat bottom. It give be a good solid platform on sand bags.

RPR replacement handguard

Seekins makes the best replacement handguard for the Ruger Precision Rifle. However this one is not the Ruger specific model. It will still mount but it will leave a small gap between it and the receiver. Seekins makes a specific barrel nut that solves this problem but both the handguard and the barrel nut were on backorder from Seekins so I ordered this from OpticsPlanet. Fast shipping great product. Seekins sells a Ruger specific version of this handguard that includes the correct barrel nut for the Ruger so you don't have to buy them separately unless you are in a hurry like I was. Either way it is a great product.

  • Flat bottom for baracades
Cons:
  • A littlel heavy if weight is important
Best Used for:
  • Upgrade the Ruger RPR
