I originally started with a p320 xcompact but it was too snappy and bulky for my liking for edc, I then moved to the p365 platform with a short comp for my conceal carry... okay now what to do with the xcompact turn it into yet another compd long slide in my collection no,  I got purpose built 2011s for that , then I came across this... wasn't expecting much from an integral comped slide, I figured would improve a little bit and be more looks than performance but to my surprise ABSOLUTELY wrong... it turned my overly snappy p320xc into a much flatter shooter that is very very controllable... almost like having a threaded comp on it without the cleaning hassels and its literally like a new gun , shoots flatter than a full size ..and now im back to carrying the p320..

The weight difference is also very very nice just swappin slides saved me 5.5 ounces ... Swapping from a factory to aftermarket fluted barrel shaved another almost 2 ounces. Both aftermarket barrels I tried "my zaffrini and a friends norsso" slightly press fit in this slide (thats what you want, a custom fit) as result I used the strongest dpm spring to stop cycling feed fails but after a nice 250 rounds break in period everythings slip fitting nicely and now running the lighter dpm spring with absolute zero malfunctions.

With an optic, for lower 1/3-1/4 cowitness sights DON'T get tall or suppressor height sights. I tried angry bear at first but the front sight was almost touching my dot. What you want is Night ...

I have never owned a compensated pistol or a fancy slick little slide like the Sentinel. However, I can say it definitely improved groups. I have a holosun 407k x2 on a custom steyr and this slide makes it shoot almost as well. The steyr has a lower bore axis, less mass and a better grip angle than a p320. I was about to toss my p320 until I was convinced to upgrade it. Between this slide, some trigger work and the Icarus Precision Socom module...it is a new favorite. I have only 2 complaints, the first being that I wanted the EDC but it wasn't available, that's my fault for not having patience. The second is the optic cut could use improvement. It definitely works, however, you'd be wise to add some green loctite (the kind used to lock in bearing races) to the slide if you don't want your sight to wander after a few hundred +p rounds. The screws stayed tight but the 407k on this slide pivoted sideways after a few hundred +p. I will end with this, I have fired 200rds of federal 115gr 9mm...standard stuff and it cycled flawlessly. So it can definitely work with standard 9mm ammo, don't let that deter you from getting it.
