Great Upper Receiver

Sharps Bros makes great uppers and lowers. I have all their themed lowers and their live wire. Their uppers and handrails fit great together as they should. If you can afford them, they’re worth it!!

these do not fit with sharps lowers, very sloppy fitmemt

I have a jack lower and I’ve tried every size pivot and take down pin and it wobbles around like crazy. Now I’ve been trying to find an upper for the sharps jack lower to fit and I’ve tried 7 brands so far the the lower is a super loose sloppy blade fit. Sharps is a fad and I would never buy their lowers again only cause they look cool. Do not buy unless you Like super loose fitment from the lower to the upper. Also you can use an accuwedge but I don’t prefer adding plastic in my lower. Never gonna buy a sharps lower again. The holes are supposed to be mil spec on the lower but they are much larger. John Sharp the owner doesn’t care. Terrible customer service from him.

Forget the One Star Reviews

Sharps Bros SBUR03 is a great design. Sad to see them discontinued, but I get it; making the uppers compatible with more rails. The people with one star reviews are just ignorant. If you have an issue with the fit then contact the manufacturer first before writing a review. You cannot say their machining is inconsistent after buying 1 upper. And if the reviews were read before purchasing, although just looking at the BILLET upper would have said it all, there would be no reason to complain about hand guards not fitting. I would snag one of these up while they are still available if you plan on using an SLR rail for your build. Matches up very nicely.

very sloppy fit even with a sharps lower!

I intended on using this for my sharps bros jack lower. The wobble on this upper to my lower was so sloppy you could fit a credit card through the gap. I’m not a novice builder and also tried different oversized pins as well and it didn’t make a difference. Sharps bros machining is the most inconsistent I’ve even seen. I do not recommend this product. Now I have to find another companies upper to match my Sharp bros jack lower. This is a nightmare.

Sharps Bros Upper

Sharps Bros products are of excellent quality. I have a couple of their lowers and have tried out their rail, and the upper does not disappoint either. Very clean look with all sorts of different billet lowers and matches up perfectly with SLR rails.

Sharps upper receiver

Great heavy duty upper. Be careful matching a handguard because many of them with the anti-rotation tabs won’t fit on this receiver. Also, most upper receiver vice blocks won’t work because of the added material on the upper.

Very well built

This is a high quality upper. This matches any lower by sharps brothers. Recommend this with the matching hand guard. Then you fit this to the lower it feels good and tight. Holding it in you hand you can feel the quality

The Sharps Bros AR-15 Upper Receiver is a very high quality piece that pairs well with the Sharps Bros 15" Handguard that I purchased as well. Very well built and super high quality! You cannot go wrong with Sharps Bros. Can't wait to get this on my build!
