22LR Reticle
This scope has blown me away. It has everything you could want in a precision 22lr optic. The sheer amount of features in this optic is outstanding. The illumination is good, the side focus adjustment is extremely handy, the self locking turrets work well, it comes with a killflash, lens covers, and we're not even to the best parts yet. This reticle is everything I wanted, with nothing I didn't want. The rangefinder portions are simple and easy to use (just fit on known 9" target and shoot), just like the rest of the reticle itself. The glass quality is also outstanding. I would go as far as s...

Beautiful optics!
I have only mounted and bore sighted this scope. So far I’m impressed with the clarity. The illumination has an off position between brightness settings so you don’t need to turn the dial all the way back. I will purchase another Shepard scope.

great scope
I picked this scope up while it was sale. Unbeatable value as long as your getting the right bdc for your rifle caliber. Clear glass with a good ranging bdc even if it is just a little busy.
Pros:
- retical
- Value & clarity
Cons:
- a little bulky
- Very long
Best Used for:
- hunting

great deal
Scope is worth every penny. Glass is excellent.
Make sure you pick the right reticle for the caliber of your rifle. You can go to Shepard website that has a chart that tells you which reticle will work with your caliber.
Can’t wait to use it next season. Gives you confidence for the longer shots you may have to make.

Reticles are extremely ballistic specific and are not advertised as so, got ripped off as a result.
I was wrong about this scope. At first I loved it but after using it for a while realized the ranging was all messed up and didn't seem to be right for my 22lr PRS. Did some investigation & found the actual BRS-22lr reticle and it does not align one little bit with the BRS-1 that I bought. Investigated further and realized the stinking BRS-1 reticle is designed for 6.5 Creedmore, 300 win mag, or 338 Lapua,! WTC?!? I don't use any of these calibers, I would have never bought this had I known. No wonder the ranging doesn't work worth beans for me.
I'm pretty upset about it, feel like I got royally burned on this scope because I misunderstood the description and there was no caliber specific information with each reticle to correct any misunderstanding. The caliber the reticle is specifically designed for should be in the information below each reticle. Especially since Shepherd's reticles are extremely caliber specific! It turns out that what I got in this stinking BRS-1 amounts to a glorified cross-hair red dot. I can't even use this stupid thing as it should be used with my long range 5.56 either so I'm completely screwed over because of not being provided adequate information to know what calibers each reticle is designed for so I could have made the right choice. My suggestion is forget Shepherd and buy a scope that clearly informs you of what caliber it is designed for so you don't get burned and stuck with a scope that is not fully usable.

Pros:
- Great scope if you know which reticle matches the caliber you need it for
Cons:
- ALL reticles very caliber specific not clear what caliber each reticle is designed for
- too easy to pick the wrong reticle
- stuck with the wrong ballistic reticle for what you are shooting
- no caliber information provided with each reticle picture so you know what it is designed for
Best Used for:
- the caliber the reticle is designed for

Shepherd BRS with 22lr reticles is the best
I recently got into 22lr PRS and got this scope with the BRS-1 reticle for my CZ 457 Lux. Had difficulty before finding a good scope at a reasonable price with a dedicated 22lr reticle. Seemed like a lot of people got scopes that didn't actually have reticles designed for 22lr and they made them work. I didn't want to do that especially for PRS, want to be sure all the ranging is actually designed for a dedicated 22lr. This scope was the answer to my prayers. Didn't even know about Shepherd and man am I glad OP is carrying it. Absolutely awesome scope for 22lr, and super reasonable price for the quality. This scope has turned the fun factor all the way up to maximum! My experience is this scope is punching way above its weight. I have become a huge Shepherd fan. Next scope I need will look at Shepherd first.
Pros:
- Incredibly dialed in for 22lr
Cons:
- none!
Best Used for:
- Precision 22LR
- everything
