Most Helpful Positive Review perfectly designed mag
These magazines are a perfect combo to the g43x. Compared to factory mags, these slide right out of magwell with just a push of the button. Other aftermarket brands (psa) with the hybrid mag, plastic with metal plating around it. They bulge at the baseplate almost looks like its about to pop. For...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not 100%, Not Ready For EDC
Ran 125 rounds of 124 gr. brass cased 9x19 on my brand new Glock 48 MOS with Glock mags only, 0 issues whatsoever. Bought these Shield Arms mags along with the steel mag catch and ran 193 rounds, had 5 failures to feed which required a smack to the back of the slide to get the round into battery. Co...

  • They work
Cons:
  • You have to instal mag release but it is not difficult

Not As Good

by Big Cobra, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on December 17, 2025
Bottom line review goes as this: Would I buy the Shield mags again? NO.
Cons: They don't seat in the pistol as firmly/snappy as stock
I had multiple jams with FMJ ammo which could be from the ammo.
Pros: Nice to have 15 rounds
I fired approximately 150 FMJ rounds and no self defence rounds at the range and had four jams.
So the Shield mags and steel mag release button will sit in a supply drawer till needed and I purchased two more stock mags.
If I need a higher capacity of rounds I will simply carry a G26.
Pros:
  • Holds 15 rounds
Cons:
  • FMJ jams & does't seat as good as stock
Best Used for:
  • Get mybutt out of a jam!
Would recommend: No

  • Fit Finish and Function
Cons:

Cool cool cool

by Stevo, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on May 10, 2025
These mags are great, works perfectly. Comes with everything, needed so the mags work. Only downside is factory mags will not drop free. The new mags do. Will work with flared mag well. If you want high capacity mags this is the way to go. You do have to change mag release with can be tricky
Best Used for:
  • High cap capability in concealed carry

Failure to Feed

by ATRPR, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on May 5, 2025
I am working with the company now to hopefully correct the issue. Perhaps I received a bad batch of these mags. 3rd or 4th round fails to feed in my Glock43x. The open window design needs to be a notch like Glock and PSA magazines. The open window allows the spring to get caught on the mag release. Hopefully, Shield Arms will correct that design flaw on the generation 4 mags.
Pros:
  • Holds 50% more bullets
Cons:
  • Fails to feed bullets
Best Used for:
  • paper weights
