This is a great chroney for the money .but you have to be right on the spot for it to read so place your shots were they need to be but it does work well it is small and compact not hard to transport .it fits in the small box that it comes in I use a tripod for my camera works well I highly recommend it for the person that does not want to spend 500.00 dollars on a chrony

This is a cheap chronograph. I purchased it thinking that it would give me a ball-park figure for my reloads. I was WRONG. Used another 2 chronographs to check the numbers against 3. This Chrony was reading and average of 400 fps LOW. I tried every configuration I could...just not reading right. Basically useless. Save your money and buy something else.

Seems accurate if you spend the time lining it up right. You just need to make sure it is straight and level to the bore. Be careful it's not through the scope as the bullet path is lower at close range. Simple features but I'm old enough to like entering data manually into a spreadsheet.

I did a lot of research before I bought this chrony (God bless the internet) and I was not disappointed. The F1 is a very good value for the money. Every shooter with ammo in storage (and every hand loader) should have a chrony. I bought it to check the velocity of my long-term-storage rifle ammo (so I can shoot the slowest stuff first), and to help me work up loads for my favorite handgun cartridges. It does everything I need it to do. My only problem is saying "no" when friends ask to borrow it (unless they take me along).
Pros: Does everything I need it to
Cons: My friends want to borrow it!

This chrony is a good value for the money and a great tool to own. I bought it to see which lots of my long-term-storage rifle ammo were losing their velocity (so I could shoot them first), and to help me develop custom handgun loads with various bullets and powders. It works great for both jobs. I think anyone who hand loads should own a chrony. My only problem is saying "no" when friends ask to borrow it (unless they take me along).
Pros: Good value (bought mine on sale)
Cons: Everyone wants to borrow it

My one and only complaint is I get a lot of errors which can be a real drag sometimes. For example if I'm working up a load and have five loads to test it has sometimes given 4-5 failures in a row so I have to go home, load more and back to the range. Very frustrating! I found a solution by using two Crony's, chances of both giving an error are rare. Other than that I love them, they're an invaluable tool.
Pros: It does what it says and thank god Crony's exist
Cons: I get a lot of errors

No complaints for the price. Just bring a calculator and do the statistics by hand. Short base means you need to get it set up real straight on a tripod with the bore for best accuracy, but I'm OK with that.
Pros: value, simplicity
Cons: need to do the math yourself
