I've used this for rifle shooting and arrows. The remote control display cord is 18 feet which is long enough for any use. It may take some getting use to as far as setup and finding the right angle and position of the chrony. Just make sure you have a good tripod. This company also has a decent trade-in program in the unfortunate event that you shoot your chrony so you are not left SOL. Pros: this model comes with remote control unit Cons: may be a little tricky to set up at first

'Hidden' Features

The product description tells that the chrony has stats generated for a string of shots fired. What they fail to mention is that data isn't available to the user. They want to scam you into getting their pricey printer that has the button that allows you to scroll thru the data. Would have been more honest if they just put a button on the remote readout. Fortunately, for a couple of bucks you can build a plug-in button from instructions widely available on the internet.
Pros: Easy to set up and use.
Cons: Lousy instructions. Mfgr. Hides important features.

Model 58267. The full story

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on January 19, 2014
Noit sure why this isn't called what it really is: The F1 Master Chrony. It's the same as the standard model F1, which is the mainstay model for anyone wanting a no-nonsense chronograph. The display readout is enclosed in a remote box attached to the chrony by an 18 foot cable. It operates easily, but will only give you the bullet speed. Min-Max, spread and other stats are stored inside, and they don't tell you that you can build a simple pushbutton to plug into the printer socket. Google 'build F1 Chrony function button' and build one. Mfgr couldhave installed the button in the remote box, but apparently wants you to buy the pricey printer. Bad marks for the mfgr subtrefuge.
Pros: easy to set up and use. Accurate and repeatable
Cons: Lousy instructions. Mfgr. Hides important features.
