Replaced my Hesco L210s with these. They weight about the same but offer level IV over III protection. The multicurve shape makes a big difference for comfort. The plates are thick though at nearly an inch and don't have a particularly soft backing. When coupled with some sort of comfort / trauma pad, these are somewhat bulky in the plate carrier. That said, for the price, shape, and protection level I feel like these are a reasonable balance.
