Love these
They're really easy to pop out. Just like my hip joint. Except these probably come with a warranty. Ever since I put these in my rifle my job gave me a raise, my wife cancelled our divorce, and my friends respect me! Thanks Strike Industries!

Solution to a problem that doesn't exist?
This prevents the takedown and pivot pin to not come out without intent- you pull out and take off the upper, then rotate and pull the rest of the way out- and thete goes my detent. Really, its a non-existent problem. You'll have a harder time getting the rear takedown pin out then the pros you'll g...

amazingly easy to use
Have done plenty of builds, the shift pins make it stupid simple, no more special tools, or holding spring and detent back with a flat head.

Decent, with one flaw
So, overall, I found the SHIFT pins to be a pretty solid product. Normally for installation of the pivot pin, I use a Wheeler tool with a clevis pin to install the spring and detent. It's a helpful "cheat" that makes installation a lot easier than using just your hands. The SHIFT pins eliminate the need for that tool.
I didn't find the design especially helpful for the takedown pin, however, which I found still required regular installation. Not the end of the world, but something to consider.
The one flaw that I see with these pins is that the 90-degree angled channel which allows for turning the pins to make for easier installation/uninstallation creates a bit of a hang-up point when popping them in and out. With an upper installed, this is less of a problem, but even there, they can hang up just a bit.
I don't regret buying them, but I'm not sure I'd buy them again. I'm giving this a soft "yes" on the "Would you recommend this product?" If you (A) don't want to buy a separate tool to make pivot pin installation easier, and/or (B) think you might uninstall pins at some point in the future, these are a good buy. If you already have a pivot pin installation tool, I think these are fairly unnecessary, especially for the price.
One other thing: the finish is basically milspec phosphate, in case matching finish matters to you.

Pros:
- Ease of installation, and eliminates need for additional tools.
Cons:
- Maybe not exactly necessary. Vertical channel can stick when sliding pins back and forth.
Best Used for:
- Builders who want an easier time installing takedown pins, and don't want to buy any extra tools.

I love these things. A bit odd to install but still so much easier than the traditional pin and spring setup. Highly recommend

Upgrade you didn’t know you needed
I can’t express enough how awesome these are, not only do they look incredibly stylish but they also look and feel high quality and they make changing them out an absolute breeze. Only thing is on one of my uppers the front pin was realllyyy tight at first and I had to whack it with something to get it in so they can be a bit tight.
Pros:
- Stylish
- Easy removal
Cons:
- tight fit
Best Used for:
- Custom Builds

Great Shift Pins
I wanted better and easier-to-use shift pins for my AR and these Strike AR15 Shift Pins did the trick. I love the ease of use and they feel more secure than the original pins that came with the AR. So far they have exceeded my expectations and you can't beat the price. I'll be ordering more of these.

the concept is cool
They are so easy to install.
You must be mindful when pulling them for takedown so you don’t shoot the detent across the garage like I did. They function and look amazing
