BBL-229-9-T
Barrel is excellent. I really can't understand why people are giving it a bad review when they ordered the wrong part.
The P229 has two barrel versions BBL-229-1-9 (newer) and the older BBL-229-9.
So two versions of the threaded barrel also exist, just add -T to the part numbers I mentioned above...

This barrel does not fit the 229-1
Wish that would have been clearly stated in the description. I now have a $180 paperweight. On the pro side this barrel is Sig factory new and nicely finished. Maybe I'll have to go out and pick up an older P229 that's not a 229-1.
SIGnificant
My new SIG threaded barrel arrived sooner than I expected. Using my OP Bucks took it from a good price to an excellent price.

Factory barrel, but make sure it's the right one!
It can be frustrating trying to match parts across the Sig P228/P229/P229-1 range but getting the wrong part doesn't make the part inherently bad. It's a factory threaded barrel, looks great and I'm sure it will run great.
The kicker is knowing if this will fit your firearm. Most 9mm P229 guns these days are the 229-1 model which uses a completely different barrel and slide. If you've picked up a brand new P229 or an M11-A1 then this is very likely not the correct barrel for you.
If you have an older p228 or M11, both no longer produced, OR if you happen to have a "Legacy slide" in 9mm which is also no longer produced, then this is your barrel. Legacy slides are easy to identify in that the back serrations do not extend to the top of the slide, rather there's a raised ridge running the entire length of each side with only half height serrations. If you're more technically inclined, the Legacy slides have a shorter extractor compared to the newer version.
After getting a brand new P229 Elite and ordering a Legacy 9mm slide for it, this was the correct barrel for the Legacy slide. Very glad these can still be found new in stock!

For old P229
This barrel doesn't fit P229-1. I cant even return it since I gave it to my son for Christmas and we threw away the box. Its frustrating and cant be used. Perhaps there is an old locking block. Make sure you buy the correct fitment barrel.
