Got this for my P226 that has a stock non-threaded barrel. Barrel is genuine Sig factory 9mm drop-in replacement threaded barrel with a thread protector cap included just as described. The barrel drops right in with no issues and does not require any fitting. Another high-quality product from Sig.

Thread Protector Issues

The thread protector wasn't on the barrel when it arrived. I tried installing it and it wouldn't screw on the barrel. I googled it and it is a known issue with these items. Disappointed that Sig hasn't fixed this issue. Returned mine.

Threaded barrel

This sick barrel is exactly what it is described to be and fit perfectly into the P226 9 mm. The only thing that I found difficult is I ordered the 13.5 x 1 threading and it limits the number of suppressors that can be attached without modification. You either need an adapter from the 13.5 set a 1/2 inch threading or you have to buy a piston for the suppressor to match the 13.5 by 1 LH threading.. I was not aware of this until I went to buy a suppressor at my local shop and they did not have a single 13.5 threading or one with an interchangeable piston. Pistons run from $50-$90 to add on and the adapter is about $25 and up depending on what you need.
