barrel dropped right in, not 1 issue. as accurate as the original barrel, with a little more speed due to extra length. and who does not like a suppressor option? easy change back and forth from carry to range, if you can clean your gun, you can use this barrel.

Threaded Barrel Swap

It's a Sig product
Good barrel, thread machining and coating is clean and the thread protector is solid too. Bear in mind if your 229 is not the newer -1 you'll have fitment problems. Additionally, if your piston is standard 1/2x20 you'll need to buy another one for this; it really is the 13.5x1 LH threads. Accuracy is good, at least as good as OEM and the coating will wear as the OEM will as well, so 5 rounds in it'll look like 5,000 but it's a Sig trademark we know and love.

Received with thread cover seized on.
Not sure if this is a legit brand new part or was a return. the thread cover was on there as if it was loctite on……. And I understand this threads are lefty thread but I had to use a heat gun and a bit of force to crank it off. This should have been hand tightened, nevertheless was able to get it off using heat gun to loosen it up. Haven’t popped any rounds through it yet, but I’m assuming it will still shoot straight.

Perfect Fit
Barrel fit like a new shoe, drooped right in had to do a few feeds before no more Ftf other than that there’s no problem. Very happy with my new barrel and can’t wait to take it to the range, Does anyone happen to know the exact size of the thread??

229 Threaded Barrel
Very satisfied with this threaded barrel particularly because the cost was considerably less that buying from Sig direct ($60 cheaper). Have put several hundred rounds through and no issues whatsoever.
