barrel dropped right in, not 1 issue. as accurate as the original barrel, with a little more speed due to extra length. and who does not like a suppressor option? easy change back and forth from carry to range, if you can clean your gun, you can use this barrel.

Left hand Threads

Rating is to call attention to the detail that OPTICS PLANET LEFT OUT OF THE DECRIPTION.

The barrel is left hand thread and 13.5mm x1. Not RH and not SAE.

If you are looking for metric LH threads for your P229 this meets your requirements.

Sig P-229 Threaded Barrel

My barrel arrived today and I'm VERY disappointed. The package had obviosity been opened and returned by another customer 'the box was torn on the bottom' and was missing instructions or any other kind of documentation from Sig. After trying to remove the thread protector from the barrel by hand, it wouldn't budge, turning it left and right. So thinking it may have some blue thread-lock applied for shipping, I used some heat and pliers and ended up marring up the knurled thread protector. Come to find out that the barrel threads are actually left hand. I don't recall if it said that here on the web site, but I sure wish it would have said that on the packaging. Aside from that, the barrel looks good and the finish is nice. I'll install it and see how it fits.

229-1 barrel for caliber conversion

So i wanted to do a caliber conversion to 9mm from 40
I purchased a legion 9 slide and this barrel. Very easy and reliable. Be advised the 229 -1 is the one you need a regular 9mm barrel wont work with the locking block
