Texan's Review of SIG SAUER P365 Flat Pistol Trigger KIT

I was very glad that I purchased the flat trigger as it seems to raise the performance bar on the P-365. Although I'm a gunsmith and a SIG P365 Certified Armorer, it took me about an hour to install the trigger. You have to disassemble the FCU down to bare minimum; however, I left the sear assembly in place during disassembly. To both disassemble and re-install, you are going to need various punches, a 90 degree pick, a roll of tape or gun block on which to hammer pins and reset springs, and a pair of small, non-cutting needle nose pliers.

It is highly recommended that you watch the YouTube videos that SIG Guy has produced describing the disassembly and reassembly of the FCU because that is basically what you have to do, disassemble/reassemble the FCU. I would recommend watching these videos FIRST before you begin disassembly/assembly because there are certain nuances that you need to know of (for example, certain parts hold other parts in place) before you begin the disassembly/assembly process. As both my SIG Armorer Instructor and the SIG Guy state, "the FCU of the SIG P365 is the most complicated of all the SIG pistols", and they are right. To that end, you need to set aside plenty of uninterrupted time or you can become very frustrated and perhaps misplace/lose a pin or worse, install a part out of order which means you have to take down the entire FCU down and begin again. Lastly, consider installing a +10% trigger spring as it will provide excellent tactile feel (and sound) of the trigger reset.

Good luck, you can do it!
Pros:
  • Fit & finish, feel and looks
Cons:
  • Time Consuming
