Most Helpful Positive Review Great Upgrade for older pistols
I checked this grip out on newer guns and liked the rougher texture. It grabs dry hands or gloves way better than the original grip. Installation is pretty straight forward (if you have some skills with gun parts) IF you have a pre 1999 gun, you will need a new main spring (hammer spring) The newer version is shorter and works with this kit. Very pleased with it. Just wish there were notes on the spring difference to accompany the item description. Since these are out of production, I can't imagine it is worth changing at this point, but just be aware, you must have the shorter main spring.

E2 grip is the only way to go on P Series

by Chuck, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on August 22, 2018
Had all of the parts needed to make the change to E2 grip. Takes some patience and a strong arm to reinstall the Hammer strut and spring, but otherwise an easy upgrade. Many You Tube videos showing how if needed. Best price and fast delivery from Optics Planet.

E2 grips for Sig p229

by Dave, from PA, United States Written on May 20, 2018
I usually don't prefer stock factory furniture and change as soon as i purchase a gun. In this case i opted to put this on over numerous aftermarket alternatives. I'm a big fan of rubberized Hogue grips, but they aren't nearly as nice as these. It almost feels like a really good stipple job, but at the end of the day, these are nicer than that.
Pros:
  • clean look
  • Solid grip
  • not abrasive
  • Properly sized
  • No screws
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Duty, defense, personal, recreation

Great upgrade for my SIG P229

by tom, from PA, United States Written on May 11, 2018
Very nice, high quality grip. Much slimmer then original that came with a gun. Texture of grip make You feel the gun is glued to your hand....seriously ....great feeling. Is little tricky to install but once snapped in the right designed place is like ingrown in the gun. Great product You will not regret. I highly recommend.

Sig e2 grips

by Regie, from MD, United States Written on April 10, 2018
The e2 grips fit perfectly and were fairly easy to install. Watch the video before installing. They made a big difference on the feel of the gun and accuracy. This site was the least expensive by about 20% and shipping was very quick.

Sig E2 grip

by miguel, from MI, United States Written on April 7, 2018
Fits my hand like it was made for me. It's just hard plastic, but it fits precisely. That, and the fact that it reduces grip size better than the alternatives make it worth $60 for a piece of plastic plus a few bits of plastic and steel. Shipping is a big deal on internet purchases in general these days. Optics Planet has better rates than Midway and is 100 times faster than Brownells. I had to order from all 3 to get all the parts that I wanted.

Great grips!

by Wal, from IN, United States Written on March 31, 2018
Awesome, good quality and easy to install. They feel like you have a hold of a roll of sandpaper. Would recommend them to anybody who wants a better grip. They are also slightly smaller than the factory grips.

Great upgrade

by David Palmer, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on August 31, 2017
These grips and related parts were easy to install, and definitely worth the price. The grips are great for those of us without large hands. Not only does it provide a comfortable grip, but also slightly reduces the trigger reach. I'm certainly glad I made this upgrade.

Enhanced Grip

by Terry, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on July 23, 2017
I have never been a fan of the screw on sig grips. Over time the screws rust from constant contact and sweaty hands. That is why I changed over to the egrip style as soon as I received my Sig P228. Grips feel a tad smaller, and good texture for a firm grip. Would highly recommend replacement from screw ons to keep your Sig looking sharp.
Pros:
  • comfortable grip, great looks
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any application

Great grips

by andrew, from AL, United States Written on July 16, 2017
I'm very pleased with these overall. I do miss the small kick-out on the heel of the original grips. Slims the pistol down considerably and makes it much easier to draw with accurate finger placement. I would definitely recommend these to other shooters!
