The glass is clear and picks up light well. Easy to use and input custom loads for ballistics. Repeatable on houses to at least 1500 yards and to trees right about 1000. The advanced ballistic mode only calculates holdover up to 800 yards though.

I purchased the Sig Kilo1800BDX for its features and because I have had great experiences with Sig electronic devices and weapons. Sig once again has provided an excellent quality electronic device at a reasonable price, complete with a great warranty. The Kilo has so far provided known-distance range readings that are correct to 500 yards. Unknown range readings out to 1200 yards have been used. The eyepiece diopter adjustment works well, you can set the Kilo to turn itself off after a set time, and it will take instant or continuous range readings. A neat feature is the ability of the Kilo to communicate with a Kestrel wind measuring device, a cellphone ballistics program and even a new Sig rifle scope. It can provide range with the angle computed to correct for the amount of angle involved. For my use in providing scope adjustments and range, it is quite impressive, especially for such a small package.

I'm very impressed so far. Scans extremely well out to 2156 yds on concrete/asphalt. Very tightly defined eyebox. It's surprising to find a unit that does what it says it will do. Synced up with smart phone. Set up rifle and bullet profiles. 1800BDX Unit works with the Sig app, even when app is closed on the phone (very nice). One major draw back is that I've had AB app with several custom drag model's, major temperature/powder inputs collected over 100's of rounds in wide range of temperatures. For the price, I think Sig+AB could have made it happen on units below the kilo2400. I wasn't ready to devote $1200 to that convenience, after $6k on a rifle.
