Kennewick Man's Review of SIG SAUER KILO2200MR 7x25mm Laser Rangefinding Monocular
This unit is very compact but fits the hand nicely. Operation is intuitive and simple. The auto dimming display worked as advertised. The hyper ranging worked as advertised. Optics were clear enough for me. 7X magnification was very adequate. Ranging up to about 850 yards on reflective targets easily nearly every time. Unit is a little finicky at 1200 yards and I could hit only selective targets at 1900 yards. The best I have been able to range to date is 2020 yards on a reflective target. Non reflective targets like trees range up to 850 yards fairly easily but that is about as far as I have gotten it to range. I probably needed a larger diameter tree trunk to center on to get further. I Have not attempted animals yet. It was a clear January sky in the afternoon on A balmy 40 degree day when I got my maximum range. I Was able to range trees at 870 yards in the morning with overcast and a foggy mist and temperature Near freezing. This is no where near the claims of the manufacturer of 2 miles reflective, 1600 yds for trees or 1300 for deer. I would have given it a four star or more but I feel a bit deceived by Sig Sauer. They should under sell this product instead of over selling it and you would have happier customers. This should have been marketed as a rock solid 1200 yard rangefinder. Since I am happy with a consistent 1200 yarder I will keep it.
