Dan's Review of SIG SAUER Mag Catch Assy Kit, Ambi, 716
The LPK of an Aero M5E1 (which is essentially a LR308 pattern AR) includes an AR15 type magazine release. It works but not ideal because the threaded stud is a bit short.
This Sig magazine catch is a direct replacement and has the long stud I was looking for.
The ambidextrous feature wasn't necessary for me but it works. I haven't tried to use my trigger finger on my off hand but I don't think it would be easy to drop a magazine that way. A lefty would probably do fine.
I had the catch only part on order which was less expensive but the order was canceled after a long wait. That's the only negative because I already have buttons and springs and should have gotten six catches instead of two kits.
