What is the difference between the716 and the514 catch? Which one fits better on a mil spec lower Expert Answer

The 716 is for AR-10/.308 rifles, the 516 is for AR-15 rifles. If you have a milspec AR-15 lower receiver you would need the 516 version.

The part installed simply and flawlessly. Even though this specific part is listed for the 716 and is listed as a separate part number for the M400, this part also works perfectly fine on the M400 lower receivers.
