P226 slide assembly w/Romeo, good buy
Found this item on Optics Planet, and decided it was more cost effective than having a slide milled. Although I had to wait a few weeks for delivery, it was well worth it. I was very impressed with the Romeo as compared to a couple of similar products, I seem to pick up the dot more easily. So far a function test of about 75 rounds passed with flying colors. The slide appeared a little dull in finish at first, but a light cleaning with oil revealed a very nice finish. This slide has the long external extractor. Great set up for home defense and target work. I am impressed.
Pros:
- Simple red dot solution
Cons:
- Supposedly Romeo isn't as rugged as a couple of the other options, but I don't see that as a problem for my intended use.
