Scooter's Review of SIG SAUER Romeo MSR GEN II 1x20 mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

I ordered this for my new Smith & Wesson FPC 9mm and it is perfect. It was easy to mount and, by not having a fixed eye relief, easy to make comfortable. It is the perfect height off the mounting rail. I first bore sighted it in my garage and fine tuned it on the range. The sight controls are solid clicks and moves the dot appropriately. I have another brand red dot on my pistol and the controls are "wishy-washy" and sometimes I wonder if I am moving the dot at all but not with this sight. Once it was dialed in, I consistently blew the target center dot out of the target at 50 yards. My advise it to use a target with multiple bullseyes because one bullseye blown out completely after 6 shots makes it useless and you have to ask everyone else to stop while you go downrange to change them. My Romeo is a green dot and the dial to fix the intensity works easily. It was a sunny afternoon and it was easy to set it comfortably. My pistols are red dot and I can see them with 70 year old eyes both equally so I cannot advise if one is better than the other. I like them both. The dial makes it easy to know you have turned off the dot instead of pushing a button and looking to see if it went off or not. I could not be happier.
Pros:
  • Easy setup
  • Easy sight adjustments
  • easy to turn off & on
  • Easy dot intensity settings
Cons:
  • None
