Most Helpful Positive Review Good but issues.
Seems well made. Red dot size is big enough for pistol carbine. Held 0, 200 rounds 45 ACP. Good. Now for negative, Poor quality screw used to hold clamp on base. Very vert fine screw threads and very few on battery cap. Be very careful, spring on watch type battery very strong and cap could be very ...

Romeo MSR is a green dot

by commiefornian, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 17, 2026
Sig reflex sights are excellent, the UTG optics mounting bracket for my AK is also top notch. I have two, one for my green dot and one for my 3x9 scope. I switch these optics out based on what type of shooting I will be doing and they have held zero every time. Great products, thanks OP.

SIG SAUER Romeo MSR GEN II 1x20 Red dot sight

by Youssef Ghasham, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 13, 2025
As a first time owner of my M&P sport III A.R. 15 by Smith & Wesson I was looking to purchase a red dot site that wasn’t going to break the bank but also one that has a good reputation. When searching for the red dot site I wanted it on optics planet there was a variety of options to choose from, I definitely did my research on different kinds of red dot sites and this one specifically stood out for me, especially for the price and the good reviews that are back by it. I’ve already shot my rifle two times and the red dot side did not disappoint. The red dot is very crisp and clear and I like the options that are presented on the dial to either Brighton or darken the red dot site.

Romeo MSR Gen II

by Ron, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 25, 2025
I received the Red Dot, and quickly installed it on my AR. The controls are intuitive, and I initially used my buis to adjust the windage. I then took it to the range. This is a very simple optic. Six shots. Sighted in. I was hitting a 12” square plate at 159 yards. I like the adjustment on the right side for brightness, and turning it on. The dot was sharp as well.
Pros:
  • Ease of use. Cheaper option. Clear dot.
Cons:
  • No shake awake.
Best Used for:
  • Any purpose out to 250 yards.

Sig Sauer Romeo5 Red Dot Sight — Fast Shipping, Easy Setup, and Outstanding Value

by Aaron Anderson, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on May 4, 2025
The Sig Sauer Romeo5 Red Dot Sight arrived with lightning-fast shipping. Installation was a breeze, and zeroing it in was remarkably straightforward. Once set, it held zero consistently, even after extensive use. The clarity of the 2 MOA red dot is impressive, providing quick target acquisition without any distortion.

One of the standout features is the MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) system, which powers up the sight when it senses motion and powers down when it doesn’t, significantly extending battery life. Speaking of which, the battery life is exceptional, boasting up to 40,000 hours of operation .

For its price point, the Romeo5 offers features and performance typically found in higher-end optics. It’s a reliable, durable, and cost-effective solution for anyone looking to enhance their shooting experience.

great green dot

by WESLEY ROBERTS, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on April 22, 2025
I have a few shake awake but it really doesn’t bother me to have to turn the dial on this one. Very clear and as usual with Optics Planet it shipped fast but God for in it goes to Memphis TN sorting facility. It will sit there for 3 days. Memphis SUCKS!

Great red dot

by Honest Abe, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on April 12, 2025
Getting to old and my eyes are not what they used to be. Irons sights were challenging for me but not for the chipmunks or red squirrels. Added this to my Ruger 10/22 and I am on the money again. Makes a good shooter out of an average shooter

This is a more robust and accurate Romeo 5, same co witness mount, and has 2 nods settings so it can be used with night vision devices. Accurate and easy to adjust. Put it on an Aero Precision M4E1-T upper, with front and rear backup sights.
Pros:
  • Robust more accurate Romeo 5 with night vision settings
Cons:
  • Does not have shake awake like Romeo 5
Best Used for:
  • AR15 with F sight post or back up irons
