a MSRP $700 SIG optic should have zero cons, especially when mounted to a sig pistol.
If you want a range worthy optic this is a nice option. If you want a properly designed and executed sight for a professional's SIG pistol, look for a different optic.
Pros.
1 Works with NVD-- I have a dozen older sig optics that claim they work with NVD's and they do not. Good to see SIG finally is making optics that work with NVD.
2. Side mount battery is a huge step forward.
3. Rear shroud for enclosing the optic is good. Even if you only need it enclosed during training because wet glass is a pain to work with.
Cons
1. Optic is tall. Will not truly co witness with suppressor height irons in the open configuration with the rear glass off, you probably get about 1/2 of the front iron's circle.
2. Rear glass further obscures your suppressor height sights making a co witness quite poor. You can still see about a quarter of the front iron's don't with the x-ray irons.
I emailed sig and they confirmed it will not cowitness with sig irons. Very disappointed.
Conclusion: Paying full price for a feature rich range optic, not a professional tool.
