Most Helpful Positive Review Sig Romeo3 Max dot sight
Well I did a little research before I bought so I ordered an adapter plate needed for mounting it on my Sig P320 Legion. About $55 for plate from Springer Precision. Mounted fine with plate. Came in 2nd of 42 overall in local IDPA match last weekend. Got the 6 moa.I have used Leupold DP Pro for couple years. It's also a great sight. I thought I would see more difference in moa size dot, going from a 2 1/2 to a 6 moa but I really don't see that much difference. Too soon to tell what the life/endurance will be, but so far I like it. Did not give it 4 stars because for the price it should come wi...

discontinued model - currently at full price

by 95Integra, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on December 20, 2024
Optic seems fine, but don’t get it confused with the newly released pro model (same price). Feel like paying full price for the older discontinued model was a massive mistake; shame on me for not looking a bit closer.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • same price as the new, better pro model
  • discontinued model

Quality control issues

by Steve, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on March 18, 2024
First sight was bad out of the box. The replacement lasted three months, during it's repair cycle I bought another one. It failed after only two months. And, no I am not using them as a hammer! Way too expensive to be having these issues. They all would drop their zero six to eight inches, usually during a match. Buy something else.
Pros:
  • Large screen
Cons:
  • Very poor quality control!!!
Best Used for:
  • nothing
  • Nothing. It won't hold zero.

Great dot! Currently using the 3 MOA dot on a CZ SHADOW 2. Perfect window and crisp dot‼️ Definitely an optic for a competition pistol/rifle match. Built of the entire dot enclosure looks very strong.

Quality control issues

by Steve, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on November 4, 2023
First one was bad out of the box : couldn't adjust vertical. I know four people with the same issue on their first one. Second one has lasted only 2000 rounds of low recoil ammp before the same problem developed. Sig is sending a refurbished sight. For this kind of money, i should get at least two years of heavy use before a failure.
Pros:
  • Large sight field
Cons:
  • Low quality control
Best Used for:
  • conpetition

romeo 3 max.....rules

Outstanding optic and great price through optics planet. Huge window allows for easy detection and presentation. Would like a bit more durabilit, but am ok with it as is due to size and weight. Zeroing was easy and accomplished with a small tool.

Red Dot Sig Sauer Max

by pedro figueroa, from PR, United States Written on January 24, 2022
Saludos: I bought Red dot max from them less than a month ago. the pistol that I separated in the armory has not arrived. is a Sig. p320 axg scorpion. therefore I have not been able to use the red dot. But if I was able to observe the content of the packaging and I could notice the high quality with which it was built.

Great Option for red dot

by BishopXSE, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on October 18, 2021
I bought this for competitions. Replacing a Trijicon SRO that kept losing zero. Sent the SRO back to Trijicon for a warranty replacement and sold it to buy this. Have not had one issue with it so far. Thousands of rounds downrange. It seems like a great dot with large glass. Very happy so far. I wouldn't carry it but it's great for shooting matches.
Pros:
  • clear glass
  • reliable
  • high quailty
Cons:
  • Expensive
Best Used for:
  • competition
  • Pistol shooting

best red dot for competition

by BarEnosh, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 12, 2020
Clear and wide lens, crisp 6moa red dot with more brightness setting. So far 3000 rounds and it still holds zero and is going strong (mounted on a milled P320 XFive Legion slide). Lens holds well, the body near the ejection is a bit scratched (due to brass) but nothing major.
Best Used for:
  • competition
