Magnum's Review of SIG SAUER Romeo4H Hunter 1x20mm Compact Red Dot Sight w/Mount
The Romeo 4H is a repeat purchase of mine. So this rating is for all of them, not just my most recent purchase. It’s on the higher end of the SigSauer Red dot line. Has configurable feature like different reticles but keeps it simple with On/Off. comes with its own QD mount. That’s important to me as I often swap out an LPVO with the red dot and the QD mounts always return to zero, a huge time and ammo saver. It’s not an Aimpoint for price point/quality, but it’s far more reliable than some of the cheaper Chinese made stuff (sorry Holosun). As a user it’s best and reliable bang for buck. JMHO.
Pros:
- 0.5 MOA dot, several reticle options selectable. Simple to operate. QD mount included.
Cons:
- It is not an Aimpoint, but at half the price, no complaints there.
Best Used for:
- Short cartridge carbine caliber (I.e. 5.56mm). The 0.5 MOA dot makes it useful from CQB out to 300 yards
- Short cartridge carbine (I.e 5.56mm). The 0.5 MOA dot is effective from CQB out to 300 yards (I have stretched it farther and still made good hits)
