Ayaz's Review of SIG SAUER Romeo5XDR 1x20mm Red Dot Sight
First Sig Sauer Optic and Very Disappointing. After a lengthy search, I settled on this for my S&W FPC rifle. It is compact, lightweight, built in riser, AAA operated and most importantly had a nice reticle, dot in triangle... very unique. I thought Sig Sauer was a reputable brand; but more than a few sales people and other pros told me Sig has mediocre optics. I wished I would have listened because the sight did not work out of the box. I replaced the battery and over tightened the cap, then the green dot came on, but no Triangle. After some time only the bottom line of the triangle displays, but not the other lines. And even that line is tilted and crooked. Seems like a badly manufactured, low quality product.
I have 6 Burris scopes, 2 Hawke, 1 Osprey, 1 Vector and 2 Leupolds; all of them worked the first time an every time. I thought this one would as well. Wrong. Will contact Optics Planet and Sig Sauer to see how I can remedy this bad excuse of a scope. But being its a 'final sale', wouldn't be surprised if I am stuck with this junk. Never again Sig Sour.
