Scott's Review of SIG SAUER Romeo7S 1x22mm Compact Red Dot Sights - Reflex
The review above me was a little harsh and poorly framed, basing it solely on features over other options. Thats not actually how to review something. I got this optic about a week ago and I have a Bravo5 as well as a few other good budget micro red dots. I agree, If you already have a Bravo5 or the like this optic does not make a lot of "optical" sense. 20-22mm seems like nothing changed. However that doesn't make it a bad red dot, it fills a place in the market with its features. Build quality is on par with the Bravo 5, I think the glass is better, I like the AAA battery better and I 100% prefer the dial adjustment to buttons of any kind. It comes with clear lens flip caps if that's your jam (I removed mine) and a much better mounting system to the t1 used on the other micros IMO. All things that make this optic a solid option if you do not want to spend $500+ on your red dot. I really don't think there is any optic from $200-400 that beats this. its about preference and feature sets. You have a few options depending on what you like.
This is hard to beat. Time will tell, but I think this might just soon be the best budget dot option while very easily competing with the the higher end options. It's currently on my "everything" AR rifle since im not paying $700+ for an Aimpoint. I replaced the a Vortex AR dot as I wanted the dial and AAA. I hunt with it, its by my bedside, it goes in my truck, it goes to training with me, its the SHTF its coming with me. Im likely gonna add QD as I also have a 1-8x I swap on form time to time for special use cases.
