It does hold zero as long as it’s torqued to spec. But the reticle is not a perfect circular dot. It’s hard to notice if you don’t have any magnification. But when paired with a magnifier the reticle looks terribly smudged and there’s no way to tell where the actual center is. The smudge looks pretty linear and runs from 2 o-clock to 7 o-clock position. I massively reduced the smudge quality by taping the 2 o-clock to 7 o-clock position of the front of my magnifier but it did sacrifice some brightness. OVERALL, good choice for the money AS LONG AS you don’t plan to put a magnifier behind it.
Cons:
- Bad reticle when magnified

Threw this on my M4 “clone”. Took it to the range the weekend I received it…after 1000+ rounds it is still holding zero. Battery life is great and is a perfect height/bore. Don’t have nods to test the NV settings but the dot is very clear and easy to pickup. I do have astigmatism and it is still a clear dot.

Its not an Aimpoint or an Eotech and is not meant to be. If you have $600 to $800 to spend on a holographic sight, go for it. This is a $150 red dot that will get the job done. Also, this sight does not need off dots in between power clicks. It has MOTAC. It powers off on its own and it is ready when you are.

So this is my first red dot sight (got it in green for better daytime visibility) so I can’t compare it to other products, but I am very impressed with the quality and accuracy the Romeo7s provides. I was set on the Romeo 5, but the sale price was to good to pass up. Sig Saur products are always good quality, and the Romeo 7s is no exception. The aluminum shell is pretty bulky and heavy, but not enough to be an inconvenience, but if you are counting ounces when it comes to your weapons weight, maybe you’ll care more than I do. The biggest plus in my opinion is the ability to use a standard AAA battery instead of those expensive button batteries many other sights use. Turret buttons are recessed enough to be protected but are not difficult to turn or access. Look, if you’re on a budget but want a quality red dot, this sale price puts this sight at the top of the list at least for me.
Pros:
- Durable (good luck breaking it)
- Crisp Dot
- AAA battery instead of a special kind
Best Used for:
- target practice
- compeition

This is $100.00 at PSA, red or green. Have more than 0 and less than a million of these.
With all the features it’s the best.
See thru caps, shake awake, 3a battery, the mount is awesome.
Compared to other dots that have 2 tiny screws guaranteed to strip and you need special tools. Get out with that.
To continue, you can adjust brightness while you have your rifle shouldered.
I’ve a few shooting sessions where the bright sun was in my face and the was pretty much gone. Looking for opinion, advise here. I have Magpul Pro Iron sights and have them zeroed like that’s all I have. I also practice with irons only and dot only. Unless you buy a really expensive dot isn’t this the reality of the situation?
Pros:
- Shake awake
- mount is awesome , easiest to install
- adjust dot with rifle shouldered
- see thru caps work well
- 3 A battery
Cons:
- Dot can always be brighter especially on real sunny days

Nice optic! Loads of features at a wonderful price point. Great mount, compact, rugged.
Really nice it uses an AAA batt. and has lens covers as well. Only negative I see is as has been pointed out by others that the reticle is not wonderful. It is a collection of dots, and they do not align wonderfully, and it makes the reticle not as clear as it should be.
Pros:
- Price
- rugged
- Lens Caps
- AAA Battery

I've used multiple red dots, Aimpoints, EOTechs Holosuns, Vortex, other Sigs and more. I do not have an astigmatism and do not need corrective lenses. I ordered both a green and red version of the Romeo7s, and the "dot" is trash on both. Instead of a single dot, it projects 5 individual, partially-overlapping dots. This is noticeable at every power level, but especially on higher settings, and even more so when magnified. Avoid the Romeo7s until Sig fixes it.
