The unit is small, with good optics,and a great stabilizer. This is optic to have when you need a small size, and you are willing to sacrifice field of view to have it. The stabilizing feature makes the unit useful at the higher magnifications. This is a great choice for a shooting spotting scope, and to view game once you found what you are looking for with your naked eye, but now want to take a closer look. The build quality is great. One issue is that there is no auto off -- if you forget to turn the unit off, expect dead batteries (CR2 x 2), which are impossible to find in austere environments -- plan accordingly.
